Crystallus product video

Bringing cinematic storytelling to enterprise tech

TCS is one of Oracle’s leading global partners. Their Crystallus platform is built on Oracle Cloud, helping businesses across a wide range of industries navigate and accelerate their digital transformation.

Produced during my time at a B2B tech agency, my role covered the story arc, storyboard, and editorial direction.

The process

Most product videos in this space follow a familiar pattern: motion graphics, data visualisations, and forgettable voiceover. This one took a different route.

The story opens in the Arctic. Researchers on an icebreaker, tracking climate data in one of the most remote environments on the planet. It’s a deliberately cinematic and unexpected opening for a B2B tech product.

From there, the narrative shifts to a drone manufacturer developing thermal camera technology for that same research team. TCS Crystallus is introduced as the bridge – the platform enabling that business to plan, develop, scale, and deliver. The Arctic footage returns at the close, the drones now in the field, the story complete.

Sourcing footage was the main production challenge. With a modest budget and no option to film on location, continuity across a remote, visually specific environment required careful curation. Matching landscapes, equipment, and crew across multiple clips, while holding the cinematic standard the storyboard called for, was no small task.

The outcome

Cinematic storytelling doesn’t always require a blockbuster budget. The footage-led approach demonstrates Crystallus in action, making it relatable and helping audiences understand what it actually delivers.
