Mobile gaming van branding & livery

Building a brand that plays anywhere

A start-up mobile gaming van that travels to parties and corporate events needed vehicle livery to launch and attract bookings. One small problem: there was no logo or brand identity to work with.

The challenge

Most gaming van competitors did not look professional or have a visually coherent brand. This van needed to grab attention on the road and at events, working as a mobile billboard that clearly communicated what the service was. It had to appeal to parents booking kids’ parties and corporate event organisers alike, which meant avoiding anything too childish whilst keeping it fun and energetic. Additionally, the design had to work across corners, door joins, and multiple surfaces without losing impact.

The process

The first step was creating the brand. I researched competitors in the mobile gaming space and looked at gaming industry design for inspiration. From there, I developed a core brand identity: logo, typography, colour system, and pattern, along with top-level brand assets and guidance.

For the livery, the priority was impact. The company name, tagline, and contact details all needed to be readable from a distance. I designed the wrap as flat artwork, then worked with the vehicle wrap company to refine it for production, making sure it would reproduce accurately across all those awkward van surfaces.

The brand extended beyond the van onto merchandise, giving the business a cohesive identity from day one.

The outcome

The van's on the road and constantly booked for parties and corporate events throughout the year. The client was delighted with how the livery turned out – it stands out whether driving or parked up at an event, helping to secure bookings. The brand identity built recognition quickly, with the business now highly rated across review platforms.
